i got AP CALC BC "5" yet AP CALC AB subscore of 3???

i got AP CALC BC "5" yet AP CALC AB subscore of 3?

is this possible? correct? and what does it mean?

i only took AP CALC BC.

BC material covers mostly series, i.e. power series. Apparently, you knew your Taylor series but your foundation isn't that great. And yea, it's very possible. Couple of my friends got things similar last year.

what it means is that you will probably have to start from scratch instead of in an advanced class. Even if not mandated you are advised to do so, unless you are willing to put in the time and effort to study on your own this summer.

"Fundamentals first!", my computer science teacher always used to berate.

but if i don't know my fundamentals how could i have answered the more advanced questions in calc bc? also, what portion of the CALC BC exam contains calc AB questions?

1/3 BC
2/3 AB

so you got almost all bc right but you made silly mistakes on ab, no big deal. Colleges know you are smart.

Or you could have done what I think I might have done. Aced the multiple choice, then let up on the free response because it wasn't necessary to get a very high score on it to get a 5.
