What's an Early Write??

<p>I've seen this on a lot of threads, what does getting an early write mean?</p>

<p>Some schools will send an early acceptance letter to a handful of truly outstanding applicants ahead of their stated decision date. </p>

<p>This contrasts with “likely letters” which are used by schools that adhere to agreed-upon deadlines but issue a “your chances are fantastic that you’ll be admitted once decisions come out” letter to try to grab their outstanding applicants.</p>
