Starting a new thread for all of our Amazing Race fans.

Season 33 begins airing on January 5, 2022. This season suspended filming in February 2020 and resumed a year and half later after the “longest pit stop ever”. Can’t wait to watch.

Great! It will be interesting to see how they can make accommodations for covid and keep the race interesting. I’m guessing lots of masks, testing, and hand sanitizer LOL!

!The race is much shorter and, with the exception of start and end points, entirely within Europe. Once the race resumed, all air travel was by chartered plane; teams were released from the plane with the appropriate time difference based on last leg finish. No public transportation. Two teams that were still in the race before the shutdown did not rejoin. No new teams were added.!<

I avoided the spoilers above but @skieurope are the spoilers related to contestants/winners or just to the process of resuming filming of the show? That will depend if I look. :slight_smile:

I’m watching, but it’s likely not the best 1st season to watch.

I’m filing under “better than nothing” but it will likely rank just ahead of the horrid family edition.

Do you think they start pre-covid and then switch to the covid episodes? Or did they just start the season over and only film ‘covid’ episodes?
