My son is interested in Amhurst College. Can someone please give some insight as to GPA, SAT, EC, etc?
Are Amherst & Williams still releasing ED decisions on the 2nd Friday of December, as in past years?
If so, that means this Friday 12/9.
Recent Amherst Early Decision Stats -
Class of 2026: 878 app, 213 adm (24%)
Class of 2025: 857 app, 214 adm (25%)
Class of 2024: 598 app, 190 adm (32%)
9th December it is… fingers crossed people!
186 / 734 accepted ED last night (25% acceptance rate):
"Some statistics from our Early Decision (ED) round:
734 students applied for ED admission (down slightly from 2021)
We expect the ED admits will represent 39% of the Class of 2027
42% of ED admits (and 44% of ED applicants) submitted standardized test scores for consideration"
I’d guess that a lot of the test optional admits were recruited atheletes, since varsity athletes comprise > 30% of enrollment.
