Continuing the discussion from Ask a Barrett student:
We are trying to sort out the differences (if any) between the dorm choices at Barrett for freshmen. I see that there are different floor plans, but are there any other considerations?
I am not aware of any major differences. The main dorms in Barrett are generally all freshman except for the CAs. After freshman year, many/most Barrett students move across the street to Vista Del Sol. Vista is more of an apartment than a dorm room. They are nice also.
For Barrett dorms, the actual building was random. You selected the room type (single, shared etc) The sign-up process has probably changed now. The biggest difference in buildings is the laundry location (free laundry by the way).
