Grandparent Waiver Information for Prospective & Current State University System Parents & Students

Does someone know if I need to enroll first ( pay the non refundable deposit) or just by submitting the application it is ok??

At the UF page it says:
Eligibility Requirements for the Grandparent Waiver

*** Submit a freshman application as a full-time undergraduate student for the summer or fall term immediately following high school graduation.**

However I found this…and I’m confused, do we need to enroll as soon we have our results? and if I did not get the waiver and can not go because OOS tuition? can I give up UF without repercussion??

…also stipulated that the schools allocate the grandparent waivers on a first come, first served basis . Therefore, International College Counselors recommends **applying to each school as early as possible (along with any required documentation such as a Student Self-Reported Academic Record), submitting the waiver as soon as you submit your application, and paying your deposit as soon as you learn you’ve been admitted .

Thanks,
