It’s Paint & Primer in One, so no prepping. Cleaning is the same as with the original finish. I just wipe with the dishcloth every time I’m done using it. All finishes will scratch if they come into contact with something sharp enough at the right angle/pressure, no difference between the original and new finish in that regard.
