I was looking at bathroom scales on Kohls web site yesterday (because of a 30% email good only today) and double checking reviews on Amazon. One that I liked was $35 on sale before markdown at Kohls. Amazon had it for $14.99, so I quickly ordered it. Today itâs $23.99 on Amazon.
And today I spent $83 on Kohlâs (including the high Seattle sales tax) and saved $174 . Free ground shipping to son. Should arrive sometime in December.
For those who enjoyed purchases from Natural Life for stocking stuffers , they have an extra 30% off clearance right now. Lots of the full bandeau buffs that we have been using lots at gone for work yet walks and can double as a mask outside .
I always go to Target once they hit the 70% off and get a big haul of holiday items for the next year - lights, cards, wrapping paper, tags etc. This year there was hardly anything even during the 50% off days right after Christmas. I wonder if they ordered less or people bought more before the holiday to get in the spirit.
For those of you with an Instant Pot, Williams-Sonoma has the stainless steel inner pot (6 or 8 qt on sale for $19.98 (normally $60-70) for two days. It doesnât appear to be available for shipping, but is available for pickup.
One year into the pandemic, I have found my perfect mask. Vera Bradley masks are so soft and have adjustable ears and a filter pocket. True the patterns are sometimes old lady- like so I have several plain masks and just one patterned one. I would say they are M/L or L. Also, it is easy to remove the VB logo. My teen likes them, too. One downside is that most of them have white on one side. The black one is black on both sides.
On sale today for $5!
Funny you say this - this is also one of my favorite fitting for my face masks. I got a few early in the pandemic when I had to stop at work one day (hospital setting) and I stopped in the gift shop to see if they had masks - figured that would be a safe place to actually
Go into! BUT I gave some away and this week I somehow have lost my fav one!
They wash nice (I hand wash)
Went to Target this past weekend to replenish laundry detergent. Was pleasantly surprised that with a $50 purchase of household cleaning products, there was a $15 Target gift card given at the register. Of course I could use three jugs of Woolite instead of the two I planned to buy!
We need to revive some of these helpful old threads!
If you like Penney spices through today, Monday March 22 nearly all spices are 20% off. Free shipping after $32 I think. Code : SAFE for the 20% off
Re: masks. I found the best selection and current prices at the Gap. The nice thing about their masks is that they have adjustable ear elastics so itâs easier to get a good fit. The first time I got them, they were $8 for a 3 pack. But there was a saleâŠof course. The second timeâŠthey were on sale for $5 for a 3 pack.
They have both the Olsen and pleated stylesâŠand adult and kidâs sizes.
Madison Reed hair color is on sale 50% off at Ulta today. (I donât use it, but IIRC some others here do).
The antithesis of the outrageous thread! I donât really need a beach bag, but couldnât resist this bargain at Marshallâs. Itâs theoretically full retail of $108; closeout cost $17. The same bag in another pattern was $28, but thatâs because the zipper compartment inside the other one actually has a compartment. Mine has the zipper and about half an inch of space. Oops, factory error!
The other day at our local Costco, I bought a 3 pack of boys rash guard shirt @$5. I also bought a light velour king-sized blanket @$5. Also got a sporty skirt @$4 and a big fluffy fake fur accent pillow @$10. Others were buying velour throws @$5 apiece.
Online at Costco.com, I bought a Janome JW8100 sewing machine shipped by 2nd day air to me â total with tax & delivery was under $300. (I had really been searching for a sewing machine when I found all three other great deals. There were none in the store, so I decided to order online.
Any good buys/Labor Day sales?
I took a small advantage of the 20% off reduced items at HerRoom to replace the swim suit that had seen better days and similarly dying bras.
Well, this was a great bargain. I went to a neighboring town with my SIL just to have something to do. We went into a quilt shop. We had a lovely talk with the owner . I told her that I didnât quilt, but I needlepointed. I showed her a picture of some of my finished projects. Well, she then gave me a bin full of needlepoint thread that an elderly woman had given her to give to someone who needlepointed. I was stunned with just how much I received. There were 307 skeins of Watercolors, which is a pima cotton thread and at least that much in perle cotton both size 3 and 5. The Watercolors is worth over $1000. The perle cotton over $500. It will take me forever to use it all up. Such an amazing gift from someone that I didnât even know.
Wow, thatâs amazing! Right place, right conversation!
Iâm shopping SO much less. But I would like to find some time to needle through some web sites and look for a new rug this weekend for our sun porch. Itâs always just a little overwhelming thoughâŠ.
We recently shopped for a few area rugs, finding nothing we liked in the stores (and zero choices for the bathroom runner size we wanted). So we started shopping online⊠and got a little overwhelmed. We ended up doing a few cycles of Amazon order (different colors/styles), with return to the Amazon return desk at our Kohls store. It took some time and effort, but it worked out pretty well. No real bargains, but we got what we wanted.
Rug shopping is a PITA!!
If anybody is looking for kitchen mats, we liked these for in front of fridge and in front of sink. When we built our house, friends advised that to do that to protect from water, especially from the the water/ice dispenser . 7 color choices, but the blue was just what I wanted to replace the ratty old patterned mats we had.

Pop up MÄkeke in Hawaii had a 20% off sale plus free shipping to US addresses. I bought a bunch of gifts to multiple different people and sent them to spread some happiness in these challenging times. They used usps flat rate boxes, which would have cost me quite a bit to mail.
The recipients were pleased and surprised. Sadly usps said things arrived when they hadnât also the packing slip enclosed said the recipient was recipient AND BILLED (not saying it was from me). I send vendor an email that the packing slip was confusing to recipients and will see what they reply.
