All nine done, two acceptances so far...

They had to be in to our GC by the end of November...

Done: 7
Need to finish: 1 or 2? (Undecided)
Accepted: 2 (SFSU and UCSC...gotta love ELC!)
Rejected: 0! (for now)

Today: Dec 22 2005. UC acceptance: Mar 15 2006. What am I supposed to do for 4 months?!? I really like UCSB and I'm crossing my fingers for UCLA! Good luck to everyone.

Completely done! I applied to three schools, and I was accepted to all three. I was deferred from a competitive honors program at UT, though. I just have to mail my withdrawals now.

Done: Rice

4 to go!!

MIT, Princeton, Cornell, UT.

I just hope I get into Princeton or Rice, I really love both even though I'm a longhorn =(.

Done: Stanford (rejected)

4 to go
Harvard, Yale, UPenn, UVA

I've gotten one essay for UVA done and am almost done with the second. I need to do both the Penn essays. I have to fix my common app essay and do the extra essay too. I'm really behind. I really want to get into Penn so I'm kind of waiting to do them the best.

Done: BU

11? to go...
Harvard, Princeton, Rice, WashUStl, Tufts, Penn?, Cornell/brown, Northeastern, UMass Amherst, WPI, Olin? Maybe even UVA?

Yea my list is not even definite yet. That's pretty sad.

Is UVA OOS admissions based primarily on stats? Do I have a good chance with 2370 SATI + 2400 SATIIs, 4.2 GPA at a competitive school, but mediocre ECs/leadership, etc.?

Don't know about oos but instate they look at rank (looking for top 10%) and essays(especially for scholars programs). And I know for a fact that they don't really care about ECs much for instate because my sis didn't have many good ecs and got in while kids at my school were rejected with ECs as good as Governor of VA MGA and placing in state forensics just because their ranks weren't that good.

Finished: 1 (UNC-CH - EA)
Need to do: 2 (NC State, Wake Forest - RD)

Finished & Sent: 6
Pending: 4
Heard back from: 2

I need to do the ultimate "why do you want to get into this field" essay for NYU, BU, Emerson, and Cornell, as well as some short essays for NYU. I've written 3 already for the first essay, but they are all dry and boring.

I'm also waiting on one EXCELLENT rec from someone in NY before sending in my NYU app.

Yay. I just finished my second essay out of the 4 or 5 I have to do. I just sent it to someone to proof it and give suggestions. I'm taking essays one a day until Christmas. I'm hoping I can relax after that and enjoy new years with my nice book report I have to write.

Finished: 4
To-do: One app (UChicago)

Lalala.... I just need to finish the essays.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who waited until now to do so many essays, heh. One of my friends is doing the same right now, and it appears that a lot of CCers too.
