06 Seniors who APPLIED ED/EA

I'm currently a junior, and I am planning on taking an SAT retake in either October or November. I am also considering on applying somewhere ED/EA, but I am afraid that it would be too late because of considerable time in receiving scores. Has anyone ever taken the SAT in October or November and was able to send in their scores on time (while applying early)?

I applied ED, did my SAT's in may and june but i didn't have the score i felt i needed. Did SAT II's in October and then wrote SAT I again in November and I'm convinced that without the score i got on that sitting i wouldn't have been accepted ED so ya.. you can definitely write oct/nov; just rush scores

I took my SAT IIs in October and it was fine for EA. If you take it in October you don't even have to rush scores.

Most colleges will tell you what the last possible test you can take and still be considered for ED is. I know for Rice their ED application was November 1st yet they would still accept the October 22nd ACT scores. You don't even need to rush the scores. You do need to indicate which school you want your scores sent to at the time you sit down to take the test. So you can't wait to see what you get before you decide to send them. The college will just wait until the scores arrive from the testing agency before they start making decisions.

I took my SAT I in May and took the SAT II's in october then took the SAT I again in november and I applied EA/ED...if you rush scores for november, you'll still be considered EA/ED.

I applied EA and was accepted; they got my scores in time. I took a couple SATIIs in October and retook the SAT in early November without rushing my scores. It's certainly cutting it a bit close, but it can be done.

I took the October SAT (in '05) and applied EA (and accepted!) which had a deadline of November 1. I notified the school beforehand and they said that it would be fine.

October's OK, November is sometimes OK. depends on the college.
