Thanks a bunch :)

good shot at rice, a bit of a reach for harvard and yale. Rest of them look good too :)

Your in everywhere
-Great GPA/Rank
-Good ACT’s
-Tons of awesome EC’s/qualifiers
Just this would give you great chances at all your schools..

Add in that your an African American female with a income <20000 and living in a single parent household.

I really would be suprised if you get rejected from more then 1 of your choices…

Congrats on your achievements and good luck in the college of your choice =P

Dang, 3rd ward? Isn’t that where Mike Jones is from? Tough hood. Sounds like you’ve overcome a lot. Congrats.

As for the schools,

Rice/WashU/Dartmouth/Williams/Vandy/Smith= MATCH
Yale/Harvard=Slight reach.

Unless this is flame. Seems like everyone flames nowadays.

what is flame?

Since I dont know what it is .. it probably isnt a flame…

Owlie, what school do you go to?

how many SAT IIs did you take?? i think Rice wants all applicants to take 3 Subject tests…

i have taken 4 and will be reporting biology, physics and math 2 … i took math 1 because it was free… Rice also only requires two tests… i double/triple checked all the college requirements before i applied.. Thanks for the check-up though…

wow, if you got your act up a bit you’d be more than likely in.. anywhere. as it is, you still have a great great great chance at every one of your schools, even harvard and yale.

"Unless this is flame. Seems like everyone flames nowadays. "

I assume flame is another word for a ■■■■■ (one who puts in fake stats to a get attention). But I seriously doubt this person is a ■■■■■. BTW, great stats and great chance at Rice (awesome school; I used to live in The Woodlands and I visited Rice many times).

“…darn C++ wannabe Java”

Hey, don’t be hating on Java! Java > C++…

Thanks for the comments.. well… I only received two fee waivers for the ACT so it is impossible for me to take it again… same thing for the subject tests… 40 dollars is alot to come by in my house…

I guess this is a bump…

if you get your scores up to match your GPA, rank, and ECs, you will have an excellent chance into all those schools (including Harvard)

your background/family is definitely going to help your chances

good luck!

In everywhere

I wont be able to take the tests again (SAT subjects , ACT) because of the money issue… So seeing that this is what I am going to send to colleges.. what do you think…

I would be really surprised if you got rejected at more than 1 or 2 schools…really good chances everywhere..congrats on your accomplishments

Honestly, you have done an amazing job at school and home despite your obstacles!!!
You are a strong candidate and I really hope you get in your top schools!!!
:)

Determind15

As for the schools,

Rice/WashU/Dartmouth/Williams/Vandy/Smith= MATCH
Yale/Harvard=Slight reach.

I would disagree in you saying that dartmouth is a match. no ivies are matches because well, they’re ivies and their decisions are often unpredictabe

i would say

good chance at WashU, Rice, Williams, vandy and smith. not neccessaily matches at all, but good chances

reach for harvard, yale and dartmouth, but ivies are reaches fo everyone. u have a better shot at being accepted into them than most applicnts
