From the Stonehill College Website:

"Beginning in fall 2007, and impacting high school seniors in the class of 2008, candidates applying for admission to Stonehill will have a choice whether or not to submit SAT or ACT scores with their applications...

This decision puts Stonehill in good company: According to the Cambridge-based National Center for Fair & Open Testing, known as FairTest, a full one-fourth of U.S. News & World Report Top 100 Liberal Arts Colleges have now made submission of standardized test scores optional ? including colleges such as Bowdoin, Middlebury, Hamilton, Bates, Holy Cross, Providence, Connecticut, Dickinson, and Franklin and Marshall."

Union College has also gone SAT-optional.
