will "B" in English 10 hurt you?? :S :( :( :S
(but i did get 92 in eng 11.)

im planning to apply for
yale.princeton.jhu..etc.

some teach just discouraged me from applying to these univ. (scoffing.andugh!)
she doesnt know any of my school marks but assumes my writing skills are not that great.
sniff :(

It all depends on your other grades... is this only one B in a long series of B's? Or is this the first B of your high school life? It's one class, one grade... plus you got an A in English 11. Stop worrying... one B will not kill you, and your admission decision will not come down to one grade.

Do people enjoy talking to you? Do you have many friends? What do they say when you complain to them about your one B? :S:S:-(:-( or whatever you did. People like you will get into "good" colleges but will be passed up by people with much better attitudes, self-esteem, and people skills who "only" went to state schools.

look leave tjsgk90 alone. I'm sure s/he has heard crazy stories about admission etc etc etc. But don't worry, I got two Bs (grades 9&10 both in french) and got into Stanford :D

sorry if im being such a paranoid :$.. im just a little worried after that teach told me how i will have to Work REALLY hard to get into those schools.
and yes,
that is my first B (but i really didnt deserve it but my gr 10 eng teach and i had few problems..so yeshh.)

Man, if some school rejects you for having one B on your transcript, you should reject them right back. That's just petty. Seriously. Don't worry about stuff like that; at a certain point (especially if applying at the Ivies), your exact grades (if overall very good) matter way, way less than your essay and EC's. Everyone and their pet fish has a 4.0

Yeah, you remind me of my neighbors, obsessive about grades, cries if they get a B, says they never deserve it if they get it. Get over it, you got a B, you deserved it.

Yeah don't worry dude, with all the sarcasm aside, I got really upset myself over my first B too!!! Then I got a couple more next semester, a few more this year, and have basically stopped worrying about getting the "dreaded" B. Seriosuly, after you lose your 4.0, it doesn't matter whether you have a 3.85 or a 3.96 since they're all just numbers(as long as it doesn't go too low). Think about it this way: you're liberated now and can finally go act as a normal teenager!!!!:):)
