1 c?

Basically, I'm terrible at Math. I took H. Pre-Cal my Sophomore Year, and 2nd semester, I got a C. It's the ONE C on my transcript. However, my Junior Year, I took 8 classes, and had a 4.0. Do you think I should address that grade in the "additional info" area? I tutored in Pre-Cal my Junior Year so that I could help others do better since I know what it was like to struggle, and then I became the VP of NHS, in charge of tutoring. Would that C ruin my chances at Ivies?

I have a 3.75UW, 4.5W (3.5 9th, 3.7 10th, 4.0 11th) and a 2230. I have decent EC's, I played a sport, I had a 2-year legal internship, my recs are good (at worst), and I think my essays are good.

Thanks! <3

I’m in the same situation as you. I got a C in Pre-Calc Honors…the ONLY C on my transcript. But that was my junior year, and i’m not even taking calc this year. I feel like this is going to hurt by chances by ALOT. by i still applied ED to Penn because i have great EC’s, Recs, and essays. My interview also went very well. However, my sat scores are average, and my gpa is the same as yours.

My counselor has told me that even with that C i look like a strong candidate. I just really hope he is right. I find out tomorrow if i got in, deferred, or rejected. So when that happens, i will let you know if it “ruins” your chances or not.

One C will not ruin your chances. Take a look at these threads:
