My school does weighted GPAs. My gpa at the end of sophomore year was a 3.999 weighted. at the end of junior year, it was a weighted 3.952 i think.
if it were unweighted it would be around 3.2-3.3ish. i'm ranked around the top 25% out of a class that has nearly 300 students in a pretty competitive school in bergen county, NJ.

nah they weren't really that bad,he said to be as harsh as we want.. but still his chances are on the lower side of the spectrum. his EC's shows no passion or interest for business, but if he can work his way through his essay to show other interests he might have a shot, you never know

well... i mean... my chances are bad but i dont think they're gonna base their decisions mostly on my lack of business interest in clubs right? i heard nyu is a board score heavy school so i was maybe thinking i had a small chance b/c of my "decent" board scores = /

It is a mistake to think that Business schools prefer business-related activities. That is completely unnecessary. What is important is that you show leadership.

I'm mostly concerned about your GPA. 3.2-3.3 is not much, even for a competitive high school. Since there's not much you can do about that, you'll need to convince the adcom that you do have the academic chops to make it.
