1. Chances of getting into an Ivy

Hi! I’m an Indian CBSE student looking forward to applying to universities in the US. Here’s a little information about me and I was wondering if there is any chance of any Ivy League University accepting me:

Family income is about $20k
Grades:
9th - 85%
10th - 90%
11th- 92%
12th - 95%
SAT: 1520 (780 Math, 740 Eng)
IELTS: 9
ECs:
Debate - Best Delegate in National Level Online MUN, Outstanding Delegate in International Level Online MUN
Filmmaking - Youtube Channel with 10k subs and 500k views
One Month Internship at a random company
Head of Student Council (Head Boy) of school
Building Machines (Have built a 3d printer for under $100, Am currently working on a robotic camera movement device which will be completed before I apply to college)
Python (Have a decent github)
Instagram page with 2k followers where I post impressions of celebrities and big figures
Have Beta Tested a Career Counselling App

I understand that there are other factors that go into college admissions such as essays and letters of rec, but I would highly appreciate it if you could let me know what you think on the basis of the information provided. My main concern is if any Ivy League School will give me financial aid (I have mentioned my family income above). If u think I should not be aiming for Ivys, please do let me know the kind of colleges I am a good fit for (keeping financial conditions in mind).
Thank you for your assistance.

I’m not familiar enough with the academic world you are applying from to chance you, but I can tell you that if you were to get into any need-blind college, you’d get a full ride. Also, you need to look into getting a waiver for application fees. I assume that they are available for international students, or some very poor ones would never have been able to apply. If the debate contest is the main one for your country, I think you might have a shot.

Not in the Indian grading system @Mjkacmom - those marks are stratospheric for CBSE.

I think you are a competitive candidate for any school but the financial aid piece is going to be a challenge. Most schools in the US are not need blind for international students. It’s a very short list of schools that are both need blind and meet full need.

Be sure to have affordable schools in your home country as well.

You would guess wrong. India does not have the rampant grade inflation that exists in many US high schools. Those grades are excellent.
