Today happens to be roughly one month before Davidson mails out. Is there any reason to expect early news? Does anyone know what the admissions stats for Davidson will look like this year?

Check the Web site to see when RD decisions will be posted; you won't have to wait for regular mail. Davidson posts admission decisions promptly when they say they will. Presumably the admissions stats will be similar to last year's or perhaps slightly more competitive; there was a slight increase in number of applications and the applicant pool was probably comparable in quality. Last year's acceptance rate was just over 25%, and class of 2008 statistics are on the Web site.

Is there really a way to check decisions online?

You need an ID and Password.

Were those supposed to be sent out in the mail? I never got an ID or password.

I never got an ID or password either...have they sent those for RD kids yet? Or do they just hate me...

You should call the admissions office; ED decisions were available on line adn RD decisions will be. The ID number/password letters usually go out fairly soon after your app is recieved, so if you did not receive this letter via regular mail you should definitely follow up with admissions office.

Thought of this too late to edit post, but: I think you would get an ID/password only if you had included an e-mail address on your application

I know that the admissions office has recieved my app cause (and has my email address) because I get all of the email updates and such...However, I dont remember getting anything with an ID/password...Ill check again, thanks!

Never got anything, awwwww.

Ok, so I feel bad for complaining earlier because I just searched through my entire Davidson file and found my ID/Password. If any of you guys are uncertain it was sent after I completed Part I in October but before I completed Part II in December. It is a letter that starts off "My colleagues in admission have told me that you have begun your application to Davidson!" My letter is dated October 21st.

I hopet his helps you guys!

Wow, thank you soooo much, man.

I just found mine, dated November 24th, with a "Happy Thanksgiving!" stamp on it. I assume this is why I never opened it. . .I thought it was just a holiday letter.

I owe ya one.

So has anyone heard an actual notification date?

It's always just said "sometime in March." Well Davidson, it's sometime in March!

If it is parallel to last year, the decisions will be on-line the last Saturday in March at 10 a.m. (it was Saturday, March 27, 2004), but I am not sure notification is always on a Saturday. In any event, if the date that on-line decisions will be available is not yet on posted on the admissions sections of the Web site, it will be soon; the dates for ED I and II were posted several weeks in advance.
