My D, a freshman in Kelley, is looking for a couple 1 credit non-business classes or one 2 credit non-business class to round out her Spring 2015 schedule. It doesn't matter which gen-ed requirement they fulfill. She is having difficulty finding 1 and 2 credit classes as almost all are 3 credits. Does anybody have any suggestions of decent 1 or 2 credit classes for Spring 2015?

My daughter had the same issue last year as a freshman! She ended up taking a gym/fitness class for one credit. It was a great choice and helped her keep in shape at the same time!

I second paddlemom3 and recommend a gym class! I took fencing and ended up taking it for 2 semesters…but lots of friends took things like yoga, etc.

Thanks, Any non-gym 1 or 2 credit classes?

There is a 2cr class called COLL-X 112 - TRADITIONS & CULTURES OF IU. It is an online 8-week class with one required orientation and some required in-person exams. Everything else is online. My daughter signed up to take the class this semester but dropped it when she got of the wait list for another class. I don’t really know anything about it, other than my daughter heard it’s pretty easy as long as you do the work, and it’s nice to have the flexibility of an online class. It doesn’t fulfill any requirements that I can see.

Martial arts is worth 2 credits and based mostly on attendance
