<p>it means if you have better stats by far than everyone else in your school, you have a good chance anyways. In fact, the ivy league school might appreciate having a new school applicant.
My school doesn't send many kids to ivies (maybe 2 or 3 a year) because we send so many to UC Berkeley, LA, and such. maybe it just means a lot of people at your school are smart but just sought other opportunities closer to home</p>
