Calculus is calculus at UCI and at Penn too, if you learn it, you will know it. It worth to go to Ivy if it pays you and not more expensive for you than the public is. ivy is just a bussiness like collegeboard.

Yeah, why bother even going to school?

Heck, theoretically, you can go to some desolate island with a bunch of books, bunsen burners and slide rulers and learn it all yourself.

I guess if you see no value in things like: being in a diverse, challenging environment surrounded by top quality students from around the world, professors who are amongst the brightest in academe teaching courses in departments that are nationally ranked, having access to world class facilities / libraries and walking away with a degree from one of the finest institutions in the world (not to mention a tremendous experience and education)... yeah, the Ivies are definitely not for you.

But hey, but don't take it from me, I'm one of those "unwise" people who has not one but two Ivy degrees... (although I should say that I've been very successful in my career, but that must be some strange coincidence)
