#1 Regret from your transfer app process

What's your #1 regret, the thing you wish you'd done (or not done)?

For me, I wish I had applied to Brown. After seeing all of the acceptances this year, it seems like I would have had a shot. Though I don't like it more than Wesleyan, it would have been an equal competitor and I would have had two schools to compare. I guess a broader moral to this story is to apply to as many schools as you want and don't let low transfer rates get you down because things can vary a lot from year to year.

I turned in my cal update app two weeks late. Not sure if that's the reason I got rejected. I had no intentions to go there.

yeah brand you may have gotten in there..oh well wesleyan is awesome still. where are u headed to worriedsenior?

uc los angeles

congratulations, whered u go before that?

I dont have any regrets except for the fact I wish I had applied to Stanford, I mean you never know....

u c irvine

wish that I didn't apply to bowdoin, amherst, stanford, or yale. lol.

Would have saved at least $300.

lmao at jimmy

Wish WildChild hadn't started the Yale app and abandoned (after the money sent, of course). Wish he tried harder to find a prof on campus who could actually write a decent rec and knew something about him other than that he got an A in the class. Wish he had gotten into Williams.

I regret that Harvard and Stanford both cut admissions rates in half on me (read: destiny).

I regret not applying to UVA! Would have loved the chance to choose between McIntire or McDonough.

yeah i was about to bring up the application fee thing. It would suck to just lose 300 dollars. there's so much s**t I can use that money for.

I regret not paperclipping $20 with my application.

I also regret sending in an app after smoking silly weed. The app smelled like it for days. Especially in a sealed envelope.

lmao doryx, whered u send that to? did u get accepted?

I did it in HS when I applied to USC. I got rejected but my 3.0 GPA didn't help much.

not getting my green card in time (much like last year's reg. decision round)

i wish i applied to UCLA and UCB

I crammed in too many units during application season.

Definitely focus on why you are applying to each specific school. As a former believer in statistical probability, I applied to 9 schools -- I was rejected at 6 and waitlisted at three.

I wish I applied to Stanford. Yeah, seeing the 20/1400 admit rate and the crazy 3.97's getting rejected made me feel like I ended up saving the application fee money, but you never know what would have happened.
