What's your #1 regret, the thing you wish you'd done (or not done)?

For me, I wish I had applied to Brown. After seeing all of the acceptances this year, it seems like I would have had a shot. Though I don't like it more than Wesleyan, it would have been an equal competitor and I would have had two schools to compare. I guess a broader moral to this story is to apply to as many schools as you want and don't let low transfer rates get you down because things can vary a lot from year to year.

Wish WildChild hadn't started the Yale app and abandoned (after the money sent, of course). Wish he tried harder to find a prof on campus who could actually write a decent rec and knew something about him other than that he got an A in the class. Wish he had gotten into Williams.

Definitely focus on why you are applying to each specific school. As a former believer in statistical probability, I applied to 9 schools -- I was rejected at 6 and waitlisted at three.

I wish I applied to Stanford. Yeah, seeing the 20/1400 admit rate and the crazy 3.97's getting rejected made me feel like I ended up saving the application fee money, but you never know what would have happened.
