I am currently planning throughout high school to continue playing my two sports, football and crew (rowing). For those who are not familiar, the two sports are VERY opposite, targeting different muscle groups, football being short, intense bursts of energy while crew is long, steady streams of energy. Consequently, it is VERY DIFFICULT to excel in both and stay in shape (i am a lineman in football which means I have to be big and strong while crew I need to be flexible and skinny). However, I have been successful so far at doing well in both.

My question is whether or not the fact that I am taking two sports that are such opposites and take up the whole year will give me an advantage in the admissions process (provided I explain it in the interview/essay)?

If they do not care whether I just take 1 sport vs 2, and my performance in 1 sport is affecting my performance in the other (eg I am very good at both, but could be great (not excellent though) should I just do 1 sport.

Note: I enjoy both sports equally
