right.
"physically", it's not important to me. i can learn about busines all my myself. I don't even need wharton.
I just want to be in it. Again, Tradition.

wharton is a big deal because it's an Ivy League.

think of all the dreams, money, success you could've made. secret societies. political agendas, etc.

good job. you could've been RICH.

i would apply. if they don't accept you, it's their loss. are u a URM? if so, no sweat.

1st gen asian.

what do u mean if they dont accept me , it's their loss?
(that's sarcasm, right?)

chanman, a wharton or bust policy is not the way to go. i have seen so many of your posts about how badly you want to go there, but the bottom line is so many top kids are rejected every year.

yes, you still have a chance. With a rank like that you still be competitive. But at the same time, there are other great schools. As somone who wants to go to Wharton myself, I have come to realize how tough it is to get into there. It is just short of HYP in terms of competitiveness.

If you don't make it in, take a deep breath like all the other qualified rejectees, and attend another GREAT school. Like someone earlier said, work your butt off in college & transfer. Or work your butt off for 4 yrs in college & go there for grad. If Wharton is that important to you, you will get there eventually. But don't waste years of your life to make it happen...just be patient.

i still dont see how you can have a tradition of going to wharton if you are teh first in the tradition...you get me?

Good luck

tradition as in , everyone wants to go but couldnt. lol

dude go to bed. seeing how ur a junior and tomorrows monday, u probably have to school. seeing how its june, and its summer, just get the hell of this site, have fun, and come back in september or something

oh
i'm having fun
went to naval academy, going to SCA camping
starting a business

but, this site IS FUN!! :) hehehe

You know, I say never say never... The reason being is that I have seen Wharton take people that I thought were sure "no chances" A few years ago here on the board, we had someone with a 3.5 weighted GPA and SATs in the 1200s. I thought there was simply no way he could get into Wharton. But what I didn't count on was that he had an EC of starting a successful, although small, business that obviously impressed the Wharton admissions people --- and he was from Maine. He got in and wrote me a sort of nasty letter saying how I had doubted his chances. So, never say never....nothing wrong with taking a chance and sending in an application to Wharton or any other school if you can afford the price of applying. HOWEVER - and this is VERY IMPORTANT - you and every one else needs to have a back up plan, several schools that you love just as much. It's easy to pick out reach schools, the true test is whether you can find good matches and safeties without letting your lottery-level "dream school" stop you from doing so.
Best of luck.

The fact that your rank is still tops is what will count. Its all comparative. You are still top 2%. Its not your fault the school has grade deflation. However, you need to focus on a certain key number of ECs. I saw one of your threads and I think you had every single tiny accomplishment ever on that lol. Focus on one or two things you gave a lot into and hope for the best. Wharton isnt the only place in the world. Albeit its a great place ;).
