10 colleges, including Columbia, now kicked off current U.S. News rankings

DIY three year BA/BS degrees already exist, but they take careful planning through high school (to accumulate enough useful AP or college credit and choose a university that usefully accepts them) and college (to plan schedules carefully enough), as well as being reasonably decided on a college major before college entrance. Or being reasonably decided on a college major before entrance and taking carefully planned overload schedules (averaging 20 instead of 15 credits per semester) at a college that does not discourage students from graduating early.

NewU ( https://newu.university/ ) has only five majors, psychology and four types of apparently business majors. It does not appear to have a course catalog or list of major and graduation requirements on its web site. List price tuition and fees is $6,500 per academic year. It does not offer campus housing, so any costs of such depend on what off-campus housing the student chooses.

Can we keep the thread focused on the colleges removed by USNWR please

Titled “TEN colleges, including Columbia …”

Anyway… based on Columbia’s Math Professor’s follow-up, we can expect Columbia back at #2 next year, after US News changes the algorithm to include Administrators per Student with a weight of 30%, presuming it is a measure for the services available to each student.
