10 minutes between class?

I was looking up classes that I would be interested in taking.. and made a draft of hopefully what will be my schedule.

I noticed class #1 would be MWF from 1:10pm to 2pm. Class #2 would be MWF from 2:10pm-3pm.

Has anyone had a schedule like that? With only 10 minutes between class? :\ I'm scared I will be late to class #2.. If Class #1 goes on longer than expect, then I am screwed! ):

Any advice?

Should I just save one of the classes for next quarter?

Yeah, I got one of those two-class arrangements, but after I looked at the campus map and where the classes were, I noticed that it would take like 3 minutes to get to the next class

Obviously, if this is not the case, a 10 minute break is not an option

the counselor told me at the orientation that 10 minutes are more than enough to get to next class. Even the classes that are farthest away they said 10 minutes are plenty (except the art center or something)
you should be fine and i got classes right after classes too

I’m assuming all professors will let you out on time? xD

shouldn’t be much of a problem… I noticed today that UCR is a pretty small campus…

Although I only have Stanford to compare to, which is the biggest in the US >_>

Yeah. It is actually pretty small. XD! I like it though. hahaha.

Make that really small…

People were complaining at orientation that they had to walk for like 5-10 minutes to get to the next place

Seriously, at Stanford I had to walk for 10 minutes just to get to a dining center, and 15-20 to get to class

they even have a lake…

Life Science Building (LFSC) to HMNSS :0 I looked at the map… it’s like 4 buildings away from each other. o.o

I don’t know if they still hold class in the theater inside the university village, if so, that’s most likely to cause you problem.

isnt their the blue shuttle

yeah, I guess. I don’t really think it’ll be much of an issue for me

They do still hold classes at the University Village theater, so that might be a problem. You might be able to make it to the UV theater from the CHASS Interdisciplinary building (INTS/INTN), ARTS building, or the University Lecture Hall (UNLH). Those are the closest buildings to the UV.

But professors/TAs usually understand that people have only ten minutes to walk to their class. In fact, most don’t really care as long as you don’t arrive when the class is halfway over. In large lectures, they probably don’t care at all.

But 10 minutes should be okay. I had a lecture at the UNLH then the discussion for that class 10 minutes after in the Psychology building. I also had class in the INTS/INTN building then a class in Physics (PHYS). I walk, so it’ll be faster if you have a bike or skateboard.

is it possible to be late for a chem lab? I don’t think you could really just jump into a lab, as you could a lecture or a discussion
