10 Real SATs Book

Amazon.com: 10 Real SATs, Third Edition: The College Board: Books

I came across this book. It seems to have the old version of the SATs, but is it still worth it when I'm done with the Blue Book?

I don't know much about the old SAT. Is the format any different other than not having a writing section? Is the difficulty and style of M and CR exactly the same as the new SAT?

Thanks

I have this book (purchased many years ago to prepare for middle school SATs through Midwest Talent Search). Unfortunately, the mathematics and CR sections have been updated significantly since its publication. Analogies and quantitative comparisons have been eliminated and the math section has been reformulated to include limited material through Algebra II. I’ve heard anecdotally that the old math section was a bit “trickier” and less straightforward than its current incarnation. If you’re desperate for material, then these problems might improve your general critical thinking and problem solving but wouldn’t specifically target the skills tested on the new SAT. I would recommend against purchasing it.
