I know that analogies and math comparisons have been dropped and that Alg II questions have been added under the new SAT format. With that in mind, has anyone done a comparison of the sample tests in the two CB books above? That is, if I go thrrough the old 10 Real SATs to work on sample questions, will I subsequently encounter many of the same exact questions in the new CB book? Are the reading passages the same. That is, have the old 10 Real SAT tests simply been modified to fit the new format, with many of the same questions left "intact", or is the new CB study guide (with 8 sample tests) compiled from completely new questions - i.e., what is the percentage of overlap? Secondly, it does seem like the old 10 real SATs should be a great guide for preparing for the PSAT (without the math comparisons and analogies) since Alg II questions would not be included. Is that correct? Help from anyone who has done a serious analysis of the two books! I realize I could develop my own answer to this question with a careful scrutiny of the two books, but I hope someone has already done such an analysis.
