10 to 15 hours a week?

I'm taking AP Psychology online this semester. On the website for my course provider, it says that students should expect to spend 10 to 15 hours a week on AP courses. Is this true? I've heard that AP Psychology is one of the easier courses to take online. To anyone who has taken AP Psych or another course online: how many hours did you have to spend on the course a week? Because I definitely won't be able to dedicate 10 hours a week to this course.

10 hours a week? Absolutely not, though it depends on the course taken. I took AP calculus online and it was essentially a self study - the only assignments were the (proctored) chapter tests, and it took me perhaps 10 hours a week to finish the entire course in about three weeks. 10 hours a week for a full school year is excessive.

snipersas, I’m curious. Where did you take your online course?

My online course was through Northwestern U’s Center for Talent Development.

I have never taken an AP course in school that is 10 hours a week. Online courses are usually much less, and Psychology is an easy AP course, so they probably inflated that number; if you’re an efficient worker I highly doubt 5+ would be necessary for this course.

Well this doesn’t seem so unreasonable. A normal class would have, say, 5 hours a week of class time? 1 hour of homework to 1 hour of class time isn’t outrageous.
