100% acceptance rate?

I heard a rumor that UCSD sent admission letter to every applicant by mistake. Is it true?

This is really old news.

Yeah, they did. What happened was they were trying to send an email saying “Congrats on your acceptance, please come to Admit Day” letter to those who were accepted.

But, whoever was sending out the email accidentally sent it to everyone. So those who were rejected thought they were accepted. But they caught the mistake quickly and within a few hours sent out an apology letter to those who were rejected.

this is true.

What some people THINK happened was that ppl who were supposed to get rejected didn’t… Not true

The incident happened after rejections/acceptances. UCSD just sent out an inivitation to admit day to every applicant when it was supposed to only go to the acceptance pool.

It was hilarious but… honestly big deal guys. Get over it.

Yeah I think the media exaggerated a bit. But any applicant in his/her right mind would double-check on the online application status.

Did you hear of the student who invited all his relatives and made reservations at a hotel for Admit Day?

^ yes… naive kids. A rejection letter is a rejection letter.
