<p>Okay so i just SIR'd to UCR and along with it I paid a $100 fee. I thought this was a required fee to register but some of my friends are saying that they didn't have to pay anything.....so what was that $100 for? does it go to my tuition? did i just waste $100?</p>

<p>No you didn’t waste it. if the expected family contribution is low, then the fee is just deferred and tacked onto their tuition. But they will definitely have to pay it.</p>
