UCLA is 100 times better than UCSD. Do you really think anyone wants to know what triton eye is?

hahaha Evan ur funny.

i am the same way, the only way i can not want the other schools is by thinking this way:

Berkeley: Semester…blah.
UCSD: ERC…extra writing…blah.
UCSB: To much party…blah.

UCLA ftw!

the only downside to ucla is that a lot of people go home on the weekends

That’s alright… you’re in LA. Surely you can find something to do!

yeah–hopefully my roommate goes home on the weekends lol even though me and u are gonna be roomies evan+evan ftw lol

LA Nightlife FTW! Team Evan, FTW! UCLA FTW!

im guessing ucla and ucsd isn’t in a college town like ucd and ucsb

UCSD certainly isn’t. La Jolla is a ritzy resort town.

LA isnt exactly a college town either… i dont consider being surrounded by millionaires and being 10 mins. away from wilshire blvd to be very college town-y

Why doesn’t USC have a nativity scene every year?
They can’t find three wise men and a virgin.

I liked that!
Ha ha ha.

USC has a much better balance of sports, academics and social life than UCLA. This article was not well researched at all.

Is there a similar article for U$C?

haha i dont know about USC being better in all those things compared to UCLA…you guys are fenced off in the hoood. USC is def not even close in sports. maybe football but overall UCLA has way better teams than USC…social life…HAHAHA…if your not in a frat than all you can do is party in that fence woo

Owned, owned, owned!

usc is a tight ass school there is no doubt about it. i love it…their alumni are much better also

@Bruin321, I hope your not serious haha. UCLA is awful at sports this year while USC has become known for their sports programs. Basketball is supposed to be your sport, but even this year we destroyed you guys in both games haha. And as far as social life goes, you must be joking. USC has a way better social life. Sure we are in the ghetto, but we are right near downtown LA and the convention/staples center (you just have to be safe about where you go at night and with who). Plus UCLA has an awful social life, just a bunch of asians. The only edge UCLA has is academics, and that gap is closing every year. Just the atmosphere at USC is better, it has a better BALANCE of those three aspects.

USC > UCLA for life

My top transfer schools in order are UCLA, USC, CAL.
I like both UCLA and USC but I don’t think one is COMPLETELY better than the other.

As far as this list is concerned, many reasons do overlap and some of them aren’t even justified… such as “Diversity” although every year there is some sort of demonstration by the NAACP , and other groups. There’s also “PinkBerry” and “Bruinspace” but let’s not dive into this too much. I think they ran out of reasons after 40-50 of them.

As for social life, both schools have quite a few fraternities and there’s a pretty good chance you won’t get into those parties unless you know someone(of course there are exceptions, i guess). However, being that both schools are in LA, and many people will have a car, you can always find something to do on a fri/sat night, or any night for that matter.

-I’m gonna add some more things later on, gotta finish this paper first.

Berkeley > UC Davis > UCLA !!!
Personal preference ![]()
Though this thread does make me possibly want to move UCLA up in the rankings a bit :)

POSSIBLY Berk > UCLA, not sure yet. Love Davis - ultimate collegetown ftw!

Like I have always said, if you are poor, go to ucla. And if you are rich, go to usc.
