Okay I've just received my IBT toefl score today. Here are my results
total 102:R30 L 21 S 23 W28 (I had some disturbance during listening section, so I lost my focus)
Should I retake toefl for ivy leagues or do you think it is okay since this score is higher than minimum required?

Don’t retake it, unless one of the colleges you are interested in sets minimum scores per section - some do.

any1 know princeton and cornell’s toefl requirements per section?

I would suggest retaking it. But it also depends on your budget constraint. I’ve talked to Cornell admissions officers and they have said that they give more weight to the TOEFL score than the SAT reading/writing in judging your proficiency in English.

yeah but they said they would waive toefl score if SAT CR’s score is higher than 670

if you get over 670 on CR and similar or higher on W then you would probably get 115+ on toefl ibt, or 110 at least.

one thing to mention however is that your R and W scores on toefl were high but low listening and speaking. maybe you know the english language well in written form but not so well in spoken form. maybe you should do the opposite of what many youngsters need to do, you should watch more movies and speak more and not read more books, haha.

Noooo, don’t do that! 102 is good enough.

If you’re aiming for ivies like princeton and cornell, a 102 on TOEFL’s going to hurt your chances a lot. Typically, top tier schools want to see 110+ scores from non-English-speaking students. Although your TOEFL scores aren’t the bulk of your application, it may look dull next to other outstanding stats. Princeton and cornell are looking for top students, and a 102 TOEFL might not make the cut.

Are you joking? 102 is good enough.
MIT requires a minimum of 90.
