10th grader - 630M 620V??

How would you look at these scores? Are they good/bad/awful or what. And what kind of scores do most 10th graders get?

it depends on what school you want to go to, but i think that's average. i got 660m 660v in eighth grade. did you take the psats? that shows the percentile you're in, but i think the sats have it too...

bump^^^^^^^^^^

a good base to start with. just keep practicing and you'll get those scores up in no time. seriously though those are pretty good for a first time :)

Excellent! Great place to start!

I got something like 1000 PSATequiv. in 9th grade, 11-1200 PSATequiv. in 10th and bumped it up to the 1400's(OLD) by the end of junior year. I did not do anything special besides reviewing some of the math sections and reading a lot.

:)

haha yeah i had a 1000 something freshman year, 1250 sophomore year, 1400 early junior year (these are all progressions with no prep). im a senior now and im going to get my sats this monday (i prepped this time. hope it helped)...

ok guys thank you for your comments :)

i got 690 M and 610 V in 7th grade, but it all depends. and, i studied a lot before taking them...

yeah, you will improve for when it counts.

a 1250 is good for a Sophomore, but be aware of those weirdos with 1500+....

i got 1130 in 7th grade (620 M 510 V) and improved to 1500 (790 710) as a junior. Also got 1300 equiv PSAT in 10th and 1320 in 11th.
