I’m a 10th grader applying for a 10th grade spot to schools Exeter, Andover, Taft, Tabor, and Lawrenceville.
I really want to attend these schools, but I’m nervous about my SSAT scores; I got 2181, which is an 81%.
This is a summary of my application
President of Model UN (about 10 awards)
President of Junior state of America (political debate club)
Debate
Volunteering at homeless center
Art (I sent them one of my paintings)
All A’s in the hardest classes I could take in a public high school
Applying for financial aid
I would really appreciate an honest answer. Thanks so much for reading and good luck to those of you nervous like me about decisions on March 10th!
Your ssat score is a bit low… but your ec’s really stand out, and not everything is about test scores! I’m also applying to 10th grade at some of the schools you mentioned. I think you have a good shot at Tabor and the others if you don’t apply for financial aid. Also, what are the specific classes you’re taking? (if its not too personal)
Thanks for the kind words.
I’m taking AP Euro right now (that’s all I can take in sophomore year), and I got a 5 on the AP Human Geography class last year (which I finished with an A). Other than that, I take all the honor courses offered at my school (Honors Chem, Honors Literature, Spanish 2, Honors PreCalc). And also Dance 2
Which schools are you applying to? And best of luck to you! @bobtheunicorn
I’m a 9th grader applying for 10th grade for andover, exeter, choate, loomis, and hotchkiss. I hope that we all get our dream offers on 310!!
