11th grade repeat

So i'm applying to boarding school again for 11th grade (I'll be repeating). Hopefully I get in this year because I really want to go to boarding school for the same reasons as everyone else on this thread :-). This year I'll only apply to 3 schools, and I know many say that I should have a safety school but if I don't get into my top three choices I will just stay at my downtrodden school
1. Hotchkiss
2. Choate
3. Loomis Chaffee

All the above info is very valid

Hi, you sure have a lot of EC’s but I highly suggest that you select more schools, it is very wise to have a safety, since most “bad” boarding schools are probably still better than your current school, thus you might have a higher chance of getting into college. So please diverse your choices. Oh, and make sure to do good on your essays and interviews.
Good Luck!
BTW I thought GPA was calculated on a 4 or 5 point scale. But you got decent grades :)

hades98 thank you so much for your reply, what schools do you suggest?

Depends on where you live

If you were to choose a safety school, you can either choose schools that you live next to, and attend as day students, OR, you can apply for schools that are a bit far, but you can get some sort of scholarship at, or financial aid, whichever. That way you can save a lot of money for college, but make SURE that you WILL be the best at the SAFETY schools that you are admitted into, ALSO make sure that you show some commitment to a EC in the next year or so. Colleges are more likely to pick from less prestigious boarding schools, than to pick from a local(i assume that your current schools is a local public school) school. Here is a website that you can find a lot of good boarding schools on. [Boarding School Review - College-Prep & Jr. Boarding Schools](http://www.boardingschoolreview.com/)

I live in CT so i’ll be looking for schools in CT and MA

I did a quick search, you can try this [Avon Old Farms School - Avon, Connecticut/CT - Boarding School Profile](Avon Old Farms School (2023 Profile) - Avon, CT)

Try to find schools with a decent acceptance rate, so you have a higher chance of getting in. Endowment size=greater the better, because they have more money to give as financial aid, which possibly also means higher tuition fees.

bump bump bump…
