Well there are twelve more days until the PSAT test on Oct. 15. I just took a practice test from the princeton review and got a 540 math and 660 verbal. I feel really stupid. lol. Are these practice tests generally harder or easier than the actual tests. (I hope it's not easier) lol. Is there any way that I can still prepare in the limited amount of time to improve my score? What should I dooooo??????? lol. please help. thanks.

Yup...I signed up last Friday.

I'm going to take some of the tests off of CB's site.

Me and you are the sameeeeeeeeeeee....540 math, 740 writing, 600 critical reading. Those are some major gaps...I should go study...:(

How'd you guys do on the Bulletin practice test?

didn't take it...

the psat has an essay, right? and does anyone know how long it takes to get back SAT and PSAT scores.

I want to apply ED to a school next year, but I also want to be able to take the SAT in oct.

no essy for psat

its the psat. who freaking cares.

so people who don't make national merit can into schools like harvard and yale? I know this is a stupid question but i have to ask that to be sure, cause my psat score isn't too pretty.

I think we get SAT scores a little over 2 weeks after taking it. I'm not entirely sure about PSAT scores, but I always remember getting them way later (at least until the next year; ex. taken in Oct. 2005 means you'll get them by the end of 2005 or beginning of 2006). My school always kept ours until late Jan. to early Feb or so in order to record them and determine who may have to take the "Standardized Testing" class (it tries to help those with low scores to bring them up..).

Yeah, PSAT usually takes a long time. I usually get them in December.

I'm taking the SAT on November 5. I like how I'm going to get my SAT score before my PSAT score.

I took the PSAT Practice Test from CB:

670 V
700 M

Didn't do the writing...

Will I do better or worse on the real thing?

I think you will do about the same

except, the math is not as broad on the PSAT because it does not include some more advanced topics.

so where can i find the CB tests?

I just finished the second practice test from CB's Online Course.

I didn't write the essay (aka ZERO), so my grades ranged from 1720 to 1960. My traditional scores would have ranged from 1300 to 1440.

I plan on scrutinizing my performance tomorrow morning.
