12th Grade question

<p>I'm a little confused with senior year grades. I know colleges look at them but is 1st semester grade a huge admission factor that is shown for regular decisions? I know if I do early, they don't see it until later on, but since regular decision applications and 1st semester grades are done around the same time, will those grades be considered just as much as my other grades/sats? Or do they see it just to see that I'm not failing/slacking too much enough to change their mind during the admission process?</p>
