this year's admit rate will be 13%. For every student you admit, you need to let go of seven others.

read what Ben wrote. The guy's a gem,..

At MIT the admissions officers definitely work hard to get the best class possible! :)

Wow... just seeing that post reminds me of how little time I have left till I find out my decisions from whatever colleges I choose to apply too next year... (w/MIT obviously in mind)

Good luck to all the MIT RD'ers!

Heh, I hope they atleast looked at my whole application because I did have a mediocre GPA =)

after reading his post, i will NOT feel bad tomorrow even if i get rejection. his words touch my heart............mit is truly a great place to be................

i honestly agree :]

I don't care about prestige, and I'm not thinking about academics right now. I want to go to MIT because there are people like Ben and Mollie and everyone else on this board there!

I have great respect for MIT as well. Plus, reading the decision is a lot easier when you've been accepted to that OTHER Institute of Technology ;-). Good luck to everyone!

Gosh, I always thought ITT Tech was like the best one...why do you guys have to make me feel bad? ;-)

FUNNY story... so over this past winter break I was chilling with a few of my HS friends, and I met my ex's new gf. She asked me if I attended the state university that is approximately a 5 minute drive from my house and I said no, I go to school around Boston. The rest of the conversation went something like this:
Girl: "Oh, really? Boston University?"
Me: "No, actually MIT."
Girl: "Huh?"
Me: "MIT ... the Massachusetts Institute of Technology."
Girl: "Oh is that like ITT Tech?"

...

well it is like it

except,...like way worse lol
