13" or 15" macbook pro

Hi is it better to get a 13" or 15" for college?

13"…more portable but still a decent size.

Hmm… I would say 13’’ unless you NEED a 15’’ for a specific reason. i.e. you’re a gamer (but you’re going to college… yikes), you’re extremely loaded, etc.

no just need it for work purposes. Thanks didnt think the 15" was the way to go

As is often noted, you can always pick up a monitor and use that at your desk while not having to carry a larger notebook.

15" does have the benefit of having better graphics … if you’re going into architecture or engineering. But for most people 13" is good enough.

I have the 15" and I think it’s a bit too big. Would’ve been nice to have gotten the 13".

Yeah, the 13" is the perfect size.

I just got my 13" MBP 4 days ago and love it. I’ve been using a 15" PC laptop for 3 years now and honestly I can’t really tell a different going from big to small, which is a lot worse than going from small to big. The main difference is carrying the MacBook Pro. It’s cool because it’s an aluminum unibody, so when you pick it up, naturally the metal will be cold if you’re in a cold AC room. So if you’re in a cool room, the metal itself cools the laptop down. But it’s so lightweight, you can carry it around with one hand a lot easier than most laptops. You’ll be perfect with 13". Just make sure you get the $100 discount with the Apple Education Store and the free iPod Touch (you have to pay $230 for it initially but you get a $230 check within a month of the MBP being shipped and then you can sell the brand new iPod Touch for $200 or keep it).

I got the 15" (and absolutely love it so far) over the 13" primarily because I needed the extra graphics power. If that’s not an issue I’d recommend the 13"

I have the 15 in, mainly because I love watching movies and tv shows on my laptop. Also because i dont take my laptop around all that much, just chills in my room.
