<p>you can breeze by CoE with 13 units if u know exactly what u need and not take unnecessary classes. heck, that’s what i’m doing.</p>
<p>I’ll have 3 more semesters at Cal, so it sort of does make a difference whether I have the chance to take all the classes I want to take. It just seems so very odd to take so few units. With 13 units I would literally just be in class a couple of hours each day, even with discussions. If I’m a junior, already in my major, taking classes that interest me and not breadth requirements, and staying the hell away from classes with curves, would that be justification enough to take 15-16 units my first semester?</p>
<p>it gets very boring freshman year, so u might wanna take more units now. in ur later years, u can free up time for maybe a part time job or extracurriculars.</p>
