Hey guys, so I’ve been prepping for a while not but I’m still getting a 1300, so I was wondering if anyone has tips on improving by a significant amount before the August test date. Of course, I’ll study more after because I still plan to take it in October, but I just want to do the best I could possibly do this time around. Thanks
For math just drilling more questions would probably be the best approach. Pick up a book from the library or something and just do ?s from different math topics.
For english just try to read some different strategies for taking it online and try to apply them on the next practce test. There’s a lot out there and knowing a lot of them has helped me a lot on the test because every english question can be solved if you have the right approach.
Do a bajillion practice tests. Then take time to go over every single question and figure out what you did right and what you did wrong and why. Even the ones you did right need to be reviewed because there may be better and faster ways to solve them (especially for math). It is critical that you review the Reading section to get used to how the SAT phrases questions and what they look for because they try to mess you up. I hope this helps! If it doesn’t work short term it def works long term because this is what i did for 2 months and it def improved my score by 100+ points.
Khan Academy would be a good idea if you aren’t already using it considering it’s the official SAT Prep site. Their questions are modeled off of actual SAT questions (as far as I can tell) and it proved extremely useful in my experience because it helps you to find your weakest points and focus on strengthening them.
well i got from 1300 to 1460 in months
