I guess the real problem is that I never imagined myself scoring this high, (it’s my personal highest score from any sat test i took practice or real). I really don’t even know if this is a good score, but what schools can I get into with these scores (MATH 700 & READING 640). I want to major in the stem field (probably engineering). What are some good schools near the NY-NJ area. Thanks really appericiate it.
Rowan if you’re instate for NJ.
A SUNY if you’re in NY.
You’ll do great!
Not in NY or NJ, but not too bad a drive, depending on where you live 5-6 hours drive-- Penn State and Pitt too–great, well respected engineering programs–good luck!
@Rayfusion7 - it would be helpful to know other stats. It appears that your SAT may not be supported by your grades. The SAT is only one part of the application. Also, what type of school do you want to attend…large/small, city/suburban/isolated, big Greek system or no fraternities/sororities, etc?
When you say NY/NJ - do you mean near NYC? If not, why those states?
Last things…STEM is a bit broad. Do you feel strongly about engineering, or are you thinking it’s likely you’ll want to do something scientific? Do you like math? Any chance you’ll want to be comp sci? Biology? Chemistry? Engineering searches have a lot of variables, so if that is truly your interest it would change the answers versus “I might wanna study engineering”.
@EyeVeee I really like the math part of engineering, for example i really enjoy calculus and doing long problems. I really don’t know what type of engineer i want to be also.
