1360 on SAT I

Critical Reading 440
Math 470
Writing 450

What can I do to improve my scores? I want at least an 1800.
I took a Princeton Review Prep Class which didn't help.

Buy the College Board Blue Book + Direct Hits Volumes I & II.

Take practice tests/review from the Blue Book and read DH to learn vocab.

Why do you think you scored so low? You need to ask yourself that question and address the problem before you can improve your score.

Definitely take practice tests, look at what you got wrong, and don’t make the same mistake next time  There’s more you can do, and I’m sure others will discuss those, as I don’t know them.

Math: Grubers, and really work through it
Writing: Blue Book; just do all the practice tests. (Also Rocket Review, but I’ve heard it’s out of Print? Good for the basics)
CR: Direct Hits and Blue Book

And if all else fails, try the ACT. It might be more of your type of test.

Look up Ziggy’s Method here on CC.

It’s all about actively studying.

Don’t take a practice test, see that you missed a lot, and move on. Look back at every single mistake you did. Answer why you missed it and how you can fix it the next time you stumble a question like that. If you want, re-do that same test after a month and see how you do.

Unlike everyone else who posted in this thread, I think you should probably take the blame for not listening at school and not doing your work. It’s time to rethink where you’re going and what you want to be in life. If you’re posting here, it means you care enough to improve.

Take a review of what you had already learn.Maybe you missed some points or you didn’t read carefully and actively.

Search on Internet for extra books or other material and expand your knowledge in vocabulary part.Read magazines and newpapers. They could help you a lot.But don’t forget to read the books.

Start over again but with a different way…

Good luck:)

try to use the 5 SAT Math Practice Test book, i use the book and went up from 610 to 730 on my math section of the test.
