14 Units...still too much?

I am an engineering major, so I will be taking all technical classes in the upcoming fall semester.

Chem 3B (for premed, will take lab component later) Vollhardt
E45 with Devine
Physics 7A with Bloxham
Math 53

Is this too much to handle?

What specific engineering major?

Engineering 45 nominally lists Physics 7A as a prerequisite.

Workload generally tends to be heavier with lab courses than non-lab courses. Heavy computer programming or large term projects (including for humanities and social studies courses) can also make a course higher workload than other courses.

I think this is a very doable schedule for good students, but I wouldn’t attempt it unless you have taken AP Physics (or equivalent) before. For students with prior physics experience, 7A is only as much work as a math class (meaning not much work at all).

Chem 3B and the labs from E45 will probably be your main sources of work, but that sounds manageable to me.

BioE. I am considering the MSE/BioE joint major.
