I have a 1430 out of 1600 (710M, 720R) and I'm seriously concerned that this is too low for HYP. Most applicants have a 1500+ but I know I can't improve. I have a better score when writing is taken into account (2230, 800 writing with 12 essay).
Should I be worried about this? I can't retake it though because I need the october slot for Math IIC :( thanks guys

too low******* lol

Decide for yourself. There’s no point in worrying about something that you can’t change, so just stop it.

It is not too low, but it is a bit low for Ivies. I will trust more the published stat than a personal blog particularly not one from 9 years ago when the SAT was totally different. These days, the scores are inflated, so 1400 in 2004 is not the same as 1400 in CR+M these days.
If this is your first attempt, you may want to try again in Fall to bring it up. If you can’t, you may still try HYP if you have great credentials in additional to SAT scores.
