15 mins gap

so i have a classes that are 15 mins gap between each other and that’s my first time doing it. i’m just thinking about midterms and finals, because i don’t have time already to recap for the next classes when it comes to major exams. do you think it’s a big deal when it comes to major exams? the classes is humanities and calculus

Are the two classes in the same building? If not, will winter weather prevent you from getting from one to the other, including the occasional bathroom break?

Beyond the logistics I don’t see an issue.

Even if they are not, unless the campus is very spread out, 15 minutes is adequate for almost all classes. Whether the instructor of the 2nd class will make allowances for lateness is up to him/her unless the college handbook spells out something differently.

Note though that the time is built in as travel time only. It’s enough time to get from point A to point B with perhaps a quick pitstop to grab a coffee or use the restroom; it’s not the time to review for the upcoming exam.

This point may be moot. Final exams are almost always on a separate schedule and the room in which they are given may be different from the classroom. Midterms for large-enrollment, multi-section intro courses (econ being an example) may give a common exam to all sections at night.

At my daughter’s school, exams are often not given during class and are night. Finals definitely do not follow the class schedule so I wouldn’t worry too much about exams. My daughter has a 10 minute break between classes on a very large campus but manages to get where she needs to be on time. The key is not to dawdle and don’t take out your phone.

A lot of times major exams are scheduled outside of regular class. Check out the schedules.

I did fine with a 10-minute gap on the campus of UT-Austin, and it’s very large! I do remember walking quite briskly, though.
