I’m not putting down this girl. I’m just concerned that the school may not have considered her academic record worthy of the same privacy that other students get. We had to appear in person with photo identification and register with the school in order to get online access to our own kids’ school grades–the US postal service was not deemed secure enough for this–so it’s a bit hard to understand how a school could release such privileged info to a TV station.
Sports are generally played in public in front of an audience and I’m not aware of any laws or policies about privacy for sports.
