I just saw my October score and I was pretty satisfied with it
I went up 150 points from my May 2011 score
May 2011: (1650)
C:470
M:600
W:580 essay 7

This was all your help :)
But now I have decided to take it again in November and btw the November test in the middle east was postponed from 5th to the 19th so I have a complete month to prepare

My goal is to reach 2000
Can I do it?
What should I focus on and how?

I have also increased I got in math
750 math
550 reading
500 writing.

I guess I did really bad in essay,so hopefully I will fix that in order to get 2000+ next time I don’t think I can improve anymore in math.

I am also taking the test in Egypt,so I will have same timing as you and 1 month to prepare aswell.

By the way I suggest khanacademy.com for improving in math I went from 500 to 750 in 2 month preparation khanacademy helped me alot in math plus I got alot of help from people here.

First of all I went to khanacademy covered
Arithmetic,Prealgebra,Algebra,Geometry,trignometry,calculus.
I also watched the videos at khanacademy with him solving algebra problems, then I went to go solve bluebook, barron,MCGawhills,Baron 2400,BARRON’s how to prepare for the SAT,Kaplan.

Most of these books you can find online downable some of them I have them as PDFs.

I also try to understand any hard question on collegeconfidential and see how that person got that logic that solved the problem.

Once you solve alot and start getting the logic of the math, then your mind will start seeing the patterns faster in order to solve for a problem.

@GenericMath
Nice
I guess we are in the same situation with the same score except the difference in our math and writing scores.
I really need to raise my math score to the 700s in one month

So do you watch the SAT videos of khanacademy or do u watch the general videos of algebra, geometry etc. ?

I am taking it in Egypt,so I am taking on 19th of november.
For khanacademy I watched both general and SAT videos he solved 8 tests out of blue book.

I have finished most of books I have I don’t know where to start now I think I will just re do them and memorize Direct hits 1,2.

First off, congrats! And i think you can get your score up to 2000+ within the next month. I went up almost 100 points just in math from one test to the next by using Gruber’s. My CR and writing also went up from already high scores just by doing practice tests. I did every test in the blue book, no other review books for me for cr and wr, but Direct Hits seems to be popular for those areas. Practice tests are your best friend. Blue book blue book blue book.

Thanks
I think i will stick to Gruber’s math workbook this month because many recommended it to me
and I am already working on the Direct Hits
and Good Luck for both of us

@genericmath, but the book he uses is the 1st edition. Would that really help me, or does it not matter what edition of the book he. Also, is the math in the first edition and the second edition the same type?

ya. CC is great. I never used to look at SAT forum of CC before my May 2011, SAT. And, I got only 1880.
Then, I started seeing and sharing questions, learned some method to improve my SAT score ( I improved 100 points on both writing and reading). My scores are:

@maro007111, I like your username. I improved 290 points ( 100 on CR and writing each and 90 on maths) only by practicing more and more and more practice tests from collegeboard. Be them from two blue-books or SAT online course or released QASs.
