It cost me $150 for parking between Aug-June 2007. I don't think its worth it, but what can you do when you commute. What does it cost you?

It costs me a new side window a few times a year. But I've pretty much learned where not to park, now, and I've been successful in avoiding a parking ticket so far. I think garage parking is around $300 per term and most of the private lots seem to be around $100-$150 per month.

Only a $150 for the whole year?!?

that's cheap.

For students at my alma mater, the cheapest 9 month permits are 189, which requires you to ride a bus pretty much to get anywhere. Permits that don't even guarantee you a spot are 288, garage permits are 378, and reserved spots (not your own personal spot, just that there are X number of spots and X number of permit holders) are 621 dollars for the school year.

ya thats pretty cheap. My high school that I just graduated from just raised their parking to $150 a semester and parking there isnt even in that high demand...

$150 is great, and pretty typical for colleges. just think of this: in San Francisco, it can cost you $45 to park in some places for one DAY. so... 3 days parking in SF or several months at school. it's all relative : )

thats an amazing price and you should seize it. my high school parking was $120 a month, or $1080 an academic year.

Wow, and I thought the school pushing it up to $40 for the school year was starting to get outrageous for high school. One of my potential schools it costs $85 for the year I believe. Another won't even let you have a car on campus until the spring of your junior year.

It's $530/year at UCLA. If you're lucky enough to be granted a spot, which most aren't. It's $8/day if you don't have a yearly permit.

Too, too much.

Mine's around 150 too...but I won't have to worry about it this year.

both hs i go to/went to..were free parking for senior yr all u had to do was sign up... and get one of the special(There wasnt many spots) parking spots

Just to clarify...$300 per term comes out to $900 or $1200 per year depending on whether you are there in the summer or not (about half of the students are). I misread the first post first time around, thought it was $150 from June-August (just the summer) not all year.

I've never heard of people paying to park at high school before...at mine, you had to wait in line to get a parking permit (seniors got first pick, juniors got what was left) to park in the lot, and then everyone else just parked on the streets nearby.

My college was $20 for the year... I think. It may have been 30 or 40, but for some reason $20 is ringing a bell.

My high school was either $2 or $5 when I went there but I think my sister said it's $10 or $20 now.

$402 just to commute at Rice.

man... i'm glad I didn't go to any of those schools... That's really crazy.

Yup, $150 at Eastern Mich..

$50-$75 here, now I'm thinking thats pretty good

600 a yr at my school... and it's not even in the campus dammit ( i gotta ride the school's tram or something to get to it)

150 is pretty reasonable

Haha, suckers, mine's $30 for the entire year!

i hope you guys never live in NYC where a reserved spot in a lot is over $300 a month
