150 wrd limit? or no?

They give a lot more space than needed. Should I still abide by the 150 wrd limit, or should I just write to fill in the spaces?

completely ignore the limit and just fill up that space

I don’t know if ignoring the limit is a great idea. They probably give the space on the chance that all of your words are long lol. Stick somewhat to the limit because they will print out your essay and know if you did 300 words instead. I tried to stick to no more than 15% over (10% is better, but I think that I went closer to 15% in one). So, basically, no going over 172 words, but try to make it more like 150-165.

I still say breaking the application guidelines is the best way to show how unique you are.

or how remiss you are of directions

WILBEEZY, what do you think is the best way to show an internet forum how remiss you are of sarcasm?

Stick to the limit! The purpose of the limit is to see if you can articulate a point effectively in a few sentences.

i had a problem with this too initially. my essay was over 400 words in my first draft, but then i edited and edited it down to around 260. feel free to go over the limit, but don’t over by too much. besides, if it’s well written, the admissions people will hardly notice that it’s over the limit since theyre so engaged in your answer =)
